Traded in the 335 yesterday. Miss her already

Out of the Bimmer for now. Traded her yesterday for a 2011 VW Jetta. This is going to be my DD for now... (the GF could not drive stick and this is the best bang for the buck out there right now IMO). I will be shopping for a fun car within the next couple of years that I won't drive as much as I did the 335.

One of the biggest factors that I sold it was that things just kept breaking on her. Over the last couple of months I had the wing mirror motor and the washer fluid motor break on her, along with 4 HPFP failures (5th was on the way).

I was also reaching the 50K mark and wasn't sure whether I wanted to get both the extended warranties and still deal with the reliability issues.

All in all though this was the most fun car I have ever owned and will miss her sorely, and my ranting in no way means that I am walking away from BMW. The GF wants to do an ED for our fun car in the next couple of years.

So far we have narrowed down our choices to the 550i/M5, base 998 911, panamera V6, maybe a Cayenne and the F32 3-er/M3 or the new 6-er.

In the mean time I will be lurking around these forums for info and all the wonderful stories and experiences you guys log.

It was a great 38 months... see y'all soon!!

Jetta= girl car. jk, jk. The new TDIs are brilliant cars and best dd's around for sure! You should look at the Z4s and Boxters, also the new Cayenne looks like a great car, it's like 440 lbs lighter.

Will put them up by next weekend.

Its Black with black leatherette, SE trim, but has hubcaps (I opted for them, since I hate rin rash , and this being a DD and all, is going to be flogged around).

But the good news is that it is 170 horses 2.5 I5, and has tip tronic + sport mode, both of which are a treat to drive....

...and BTW the girlfriend loves rides and most of all she knows about cars more than most of the girls I have met --- her favorites being Porsches, Maseratis and Ferraris (she loaves the Boxter/ Cayman/ 911/ and likes the panamera), and HATES SUVs...a perfect girl for an enthusiast

I owned a Rabbit with a 2.5L before and those engines are really reliable. 2.0T and 2.0TDI are not as good when it comes to reliability so I think if that was a concern for you guys you opted for the right powertrain!
