Pot Laws Ballot results
AZ Is pretty even, as of right now there are about 18,000 more votes NO. 51%/49%
Prop 19 isn't looking all that hot at 56% NO however lets hope the larger counties with the more liberal voters haven't been counted yet.... |

For prop203 in az, if maricopa county can get a majority (298k yes 313k no) yes vote, then it will pass. Maricopa county is almost the entire state. |

well see what happens. i was 100% certain the past few weeks that it would pass. however today im realizing that in fact, it may not. I've never done drugs or weed and im not a fan, however i do see some slight benefits to the prop. i think its going to a very a close race, like off my 1 or 2 percent, with the winning vote being NO..

I can appreciate some of the arguments, but they then use questionable facts to reach unreasonable conclusions. IMO prop 19 isn't great, but it is much better than what we have now...though it looks like I'll have to continue to purchase and use marijanna illegally

Most transactions are on cash basis because no one wants their purchase (sorry, "donation" ) to be traceable. There is not much of record keeping as a result. These are all formalities if you ask me. Having it as a law or not, the fact remains that almost anyone who wants to buy it legally via dispensaries, can nowadays ...and without much problem and those who can't (Kids, etc.) will get it from the guys who have the prescription and maker repeated daily trips there for bulk purchase. Now, how many people really know the facts on the street? So, you still think having it passed or not would make that much of a difference? ...Well, except for those who were hoping to make a "change" in cultivation plans for their home gardens next spring! The az prop 203 is not a 50/50 with a 7881 vote margin.
EDIT: Now its 8105 margin EDIT: 8758 GO PIMA COUNTY! They are the only reason we are keeping up lol. EDIT: Margin is back down to 7687 - Prop 19 has gained ground down to 55% no - Apparently we don't have the right to hunt or fish in arizona... Unless I'm reading that measure incorrectly. - 8760 >_< -5545 margin... I don't think the gap will get closed 96% done reporting. -4923 margin BTW: I don't smoke weed anymore. I used to smoke it a lot in college and for a few years after. Here is a crude song that i wouldn't play while trying to advocate this prop but hey: Last edited by klipseracer; 11-03-2010 at 03:54 AM.. |

I actually read the entirety of Prop 19 as well as the actual legislative change. The biggest problem I had with the statutory language was Section 11304(c) of the Act:
"(c) No person shall be punished, fined, discriminated against, or be denied any right or privilege for lawfully engaging in any conduct permitted by this Act or authorized pursuant to Section 11301 of this Act. Provided however, that the existing right of an employer to address consumption that actually impairs job performance by an employee shall not be affected. " The problem was how to interpret "actual" impairment. Could a business deny employment to someone who came to work stoned? Or did a business have to wait until there was a workplace incident (like a stoned delivery truck driver driving into a school) even though it knew beforehand that the employee was stoned? The latter interpretation is a reasonable interpretation, which is why I voted no. I might have voted yes if the language had read something like "actually impairs or could be expected to impair job performance". |

LOL. I worked at a hardware store as a teen and my father owned it. More of an agricultural coop. there were literally piles of fertilizer balls 15 feet high just laying around out in the open.
