Does anyone here know of any agents for new authors? I have a couple of books I want to try to get published this year.

I'm aware that some of you here write for magazines, so any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

No help here...writing for magazines is a totally different world from getting a book published...no agents are involved.

I suggest you go to your local library and pick up a free issue of Book Page -America's Book Review. Amongst other things you'll find inside the email addy of two publishing pros, Kathi Karmen Goldmark and Sam Barry. They have a column called The Author Enablers in which they answer questions about writing and publishing. Perhaps they can be of some assistance.
