AFAIK if you don't pay and go back to that country, they might use that and not let you in (e.g. when you go through customs). Who knows if they're going to increase the fine if you don't pay or not. Imagine if you end up in the Italian's customs and all of a sudden find yourself with a now $1000 ticket that you must pay...otherwise you should hop on the next plane back...

Great pictures. I'll bet it was a great trip.
As for the fine: Just pay it. Looks like you were going 105 kph in a 35 kph zone? If that is accurate, chalk it up to experience. "Take your lumps." Or if you didn't do it, go appear in court... in Italy. In the many years you have left in your life, you may find opportunity to go to Italy again. It would be bad if you talked yourself out of going because you might get nabbed for dodging a ticket. |

Whos house did you get to visit, guy has a lot of money to be able to ford that stable. Didnt think the 599xx was able to be bought, so maybe its just a Ferrari showroom. But Zonda, Reventon, 599xx, and 20 other Italian Horses in the garage HOLY FUCK.

I think the Lamborghini shots are from their factory/museum in Bologna. I recognize it from the Murcielago on the wall. As for the Zonda shots, sex sex sex sex.

that ticket sucks. But agree if you ever want to go back, you should probably pay the ticket. You went to their country and broke their rules. So it's only right to square up. We'd expect the same of foreign visitors to our country.

Are you Italian? If not, screw paying the ticket!! Chances are you probably won't go back to that country. If you were just a tourist, I'm shocked you got cited. I've never been cited in all the foreign countries I've been to. |

The fine may cause you problems in other EU countries you visit as well. Pay up. There are entire message boards with travelers complaining about Italy and the various "City Center" vehicle restricted districts that are enforced with cameras as well. I got stung at one and ended up paying. If you don't pay they send the file to a U.S. collection agency. Seriously. I didn't have time for the hassle and negotiated it down to the original fine plus Italy's late fee.

Pay the ticket.
Keep the rest of it as a keepsake. If you are the type who takes pride in displaying his recklessness, frame the ticket as a reminder of what looks to be a sick trip. Last edited by NYCGarbagePrince; 12-29-2010 at 11:37 AM.. |
