Saw my first SLR in real life today
Pretty intense. he was driving through the target plaza on US1 and oakland park in south florida. Here is the thing, and some of you may say im crazy and retarded, BUT...
I consider myself a fairly large car nerd/enthusiast and even myself, i had to double take to make sure it was an SLR and not just an SL or SLK. MOST people probably would confuse is this car with a 50K dollar slk. and that sucks. Who wants to drive around a 450,000 dollar benz that sorta looks like its baby baby sisters. this is the same reason i will PROBABLY never drive a porsche. most people cant tell the difference between a 40k dollar boxster and 130k dollar 911 or whatever.

i saw one at the dealer this past saturday. honestly, i think they look better in the pics i've seen in the past than in person. i wasn't that impressed.

Eh, I still can't warm up to this car. Seen a ton of pics as well as a few in person -- still think it's ugly.

I was at the MB dealer on Copans a while back looking at cars and they had an SLR there. This was when it first came out and they wanted a million dollars for it. I laughed, but needless to say it wasn't there the next week, so...yeah. I've never seen one on the street though.

Saw a black one on the road a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it looked amazing. Maybe it's just me, but I thought it looked just as stunning in person as it does in photos, and there was definitely no mistaking it for an SL or SLK. Beautiful car.

I like the way the car looks but you can only get an automatic BOOOOOOO
and the hood is a little too long. The red interior is AMAZING though.
