Why not a Turbo S? Because it was a McLaren press event and they knew they'd get their shit embarrassed, which still would've happened (to a lesser degree) if the Turbo in the vid had a decent launch. Was it even PDK?

Anyways, the Turbo S is 530 hp @ 3,494 lbs. The 458 is 560hp @ 3,042 lbs. The MP4-12C is 592 hp @ 2,866 lbs.

The numbers alone tell the story. Enjoy the video.

I've watched this over and over and based on what I see the Porsche Turbo (not Turbo S) recovered very well from a piss poor start to overtake the Ferrari if my eyes aren't playing tricks. Yes the MP4 won but nowhere near as convincingly as I thought it would.

We will have to wait for more data to see how well the McLaren performs away from their engineers spanner's reach before righting off the others, plus it's got the Aventador to take on as well which I doubt will be as easy as either of these two.

I dont think it'll be in the same class as the Lambo considering the Lambo will have over 100 more horses. Unless the Lambo's weight is ridiculous.

There really isn't a class thing when you move into this price bracket, like we aren't talking about Carrera GT, Enzo, Zonda prices here. The kind of guy that can afford a MP4 or 458 can probably afford the Aventador too.

What does it do for you what car is better? Just drive the one you like and dream about the other you can't afford.

How can buy an MP4-12C can buy an Aventador? So he can then even buy a One-77, no?

^ I wasn't thinking like that, all I was mentioning was there was another supercar to add to the mix and due out later this year. The MP4 technically will probably be the most complete supercar of all of them but many will question the emotion in it's package being to clinical which isn't what everyone wants from their supercar, after all these things are brought out on only special occasions and must thrill in the bucket load and in this the Aventador like the 458 will thrill, exciting and give you a he'll of a ride.

For the price point, I would get the GT2RS, which although slow on the start would smack the 458 and the MP
