LED Tail Light Out?
Ok so my girlfriend has a car with aftermarket LED tail lights, and on one side they're out. Both the brake light and the light when her headlights are on, but her blinker, which is a separate non-led light, works fine. She took it to a mechanic and they said that the whole tail light unit had to be replaced. Is this necessary or can just the bulbs be changed in the LED part? Upon closer examination of the LEDs, they appeared to just be going out, as they still faintly produced light, like a regular light bulb going out. Anybody know what to do? Thanks!

LED "bulbs" are not replaceable. Typically the whole unit needs to be changed.
