But enough with accusations, in the us, your car would get impounded...and you could possibly go to jail. But most cops will just write you a big old ticket and youll pretty much loose your license...and insurance rates will go up BIG TIME! |

In NY that'll be 11pts for speeding, prob would get hit would a 5pt reckless driving charge (max is 11pts in 18months), grounds for arrest, car impound, license suspension, and a shit ton of fines/surcharges well north of $1k.
Pretty much prepare to get fucked by the long dick of the law

The quick answer is jail in most places. There are parts of the US with big wide open roads but the majority of us are in cities or suburbs with too much traffic. That being said, a 135, 335, or M3 will get to 140mph VERY quickly so you don't need very much space.

If i wouldnt stop they will chase me and stop me in other way ( police chase cars here are VW Passat CC 3.6 v6, Alfa Romeo 159 and porsche 911 or an M5 bimmer [ with help of german police] so i dont have a single chance) by making a roadblock or a helicopter so its better to pullover.
Our cops are mostly fit ( not as much oversized policemen's in EU LOL ) and pretty though so better not mess with them |

Well, I guess there's the trade off. You can use your 318 however you want and we can use our 335s in a very limited manner.
I just hope that enforcement doesn't go south in the future regarding driving/technology here in the US (though I am not optimistic)...or that I have enough money to occasionally travel to EU to drive a second car! |

I got 97 in a 55 sometime last year, cop had me sign a written promise to appear in court.
anything over 89 in CT is considered reckless driving. Normally they impound your car, and throw you in jail. thankfully i didnt have that happen to me. Even got it cleared off my record. lucked out. |

Yeah lucky you, i wonder why you agreed for such a unusuall behavior of police... I know that country live from taxes and speed fines but come on... IN EU when you go to jail, you can forget about any good job at all... your records is always checked befor you want to be employed in any company( not matter what you do JAIL equalt Yellow Papers and you can clean the streets or SLT)...At least you guys in US have lots of racing tracks where you dont have speed limits ( We in PL have nly 3 or 4 small and poor country problem i guess) , but i have only 40miles to german Autobahns
