iPhone vocab help?

Is there a way to add words into vocab options so I don't get DUCK when I mean Fuck and shut when I mean shit?

yup, put those words as contacts in your phone book. your iphone will new recognize them.

Your phone will learn them eventually and it wont be a problem.

just watch out when your writing your wife and you have been dirty texting your other wife, because autocorrect will mix all kinds of things up.

I think it learns while you type over time but its been almost a year on the iphone 4 and it still hasn't learned fuck and shit, continues to put duck and shut

I'm using iOS 5.0 beta. There's a section where you can define "shortcuts" in the Settings > General > Keyboard section. You can leave what the shortcut changes to blank so it will not autocorrect and you won't have to tell people, "Duck you, bugger. Go to he'll."

my phone must be smarter than the rest of y'alls. Mine types exactly what I want it to. I am using iOS 5 beta 2...

I use all those words a lot and it doesn't learn them. It didn't on my black iphone4 and not my white one either. I'm wondering if I need to do an update to it? I got it a mo ago. I don't jailbreak or any of that.

it wont learn profanities, apple has said that im pretty sure. Just put them in your contacts, problem solved.
