Anybody ever seen audioslave live?

Do they sound close to the recording?

Any other new age bands that have live performances close to recorded?

I hear soo much post processing now. I would be hesitant to pay 50$+ only to find out how different it sounds.

Just go. They'll sound very similar as they're very experienced musicians but really what's the point in seeing them live if they sounded exactly like the CD?

I've been to north of 150 live shows and the ones that I remember are those that were unique, not those that sound like I just paid to hear them basically play a CD.

Well, im sure the performance itself is of value, but I still would like to have some similar sound. A lot is lost for me if I can't hardly make out the song.

Its not like they are scheduled to play around here. What can I say, Im old and some of these 'newer' bands are still something Im trying to get a feel for.

I can guarantee you that you will be able to make out every single song at an Audioslave concert. I have only once seen a show where I was like "what the fuck is this?" and that was Van Morrison. I went with my father and we both know quite a bit of his material and he only played tracks from his last yet-to-be-released-at-the-time-of-the-show record.

haha yeah I was reserving judgement but Audioslave is about as "new age" as Limp Bizkit.

I don't watch vids or even listen to most of these newer radio channels. The few times I heard some of the AS songs, I never did catch the name of the band. Only recently did I figure out who it was. They don't seem to have a lot of hits that get airtime - at least not of late.

Do they even sell CDs any more?

Torrent your entire music collection and put it on a thumb drive

With technology we will prosper

Ah, sorry, being involved with IT security and having seen (first hand and otherwise) what can take place when a torrent is installed, I think I will pass.

I won't even d/l the app let alone get on the network. Maybe someday when I carve out a VM for playing,, but not before.

I admit, im a little biased/paranoid. I keep one machine for playing, but so far that has not including any of the torrents. Plenty of other things to waste my time on

I never touched them until about a year ago when my room mate bought a PS3. Now I'm hooked. I use them pretty much solely for movies/tv shows but you could DL your entire classic rock collection in FLAC I'm sure. Once you use them you'll be hooked. Just browse kat.ph and see if theres anything that wets your junk.

Maybe you can even DL an audioslave show in HD w/ 7.1 and never have to go to a real show!
