My new GLK

Just wanted to post some pics..cause I'm bored at work and show off the new ride.

I know a lot of people aren't big fans of the GLK. But I love it.

If you are looking for a nice crossover SUV...check it out...

Congrats on the new ride. I certainly don't mind the look of it and it seems pretty resonably priced

Well, the base price is good....but we got it with every option except leather package and parktronic. I ended up forking $46K after hagling for a month. MSRP was $51K. It's sooooo much nicer with all the options for sure though....I love the AMG wheels....

Hey, congrats on the new ride and what a deal. Seems you saved a lot. I'm not a fan of this car but I'm sure there must be something special about it.

Did you test drive other cross overs like X3, Q5,Tiguan or even a RX350?

The wife didn't want to test drive anything else. She was set on a Benz. We had a C350 for almost 2 years and traded it in. We loved the car and after driving a GLK a few times as a loaner, we wanted one.

I did read up on all the competitors and none had better reviews...some as good. Every review I read on the GLK was almost 100% positive.

It's not the most roomy in the world....but bigger than the C obviously. We only have one child.

Nice choice, especially with those wheels! There's something about the look of the GLK that I've always liked.

I like the GLK and the price is GREAT!!! But my Business Management teacher has a Q5 and the standard options are better than the benz. But I like the benz better...

Have you had any problems with it??

Nice car, I sat in one and it seemed pretty solid. Agreed the AMG wheels look great. Do you have the Panaroma roof?

The AMG package makes or breaks this car, appearance-wise

I agree completely...and I wouldn't get it without every option...and that was hard as hell to find. I insisted on Harmon Kardon and they had a hell of a time finding one with that along with all the other options I wanted....

The AMG wheels are tha shit for factory wheels for sure..

I actually wanted the new X3 but damn they're expensive with every option...and I would have to get the N55 but I don't think I could deal with the stress of owning two of them, lol....

After looking at the GLK's for a while (especially with the AMG package)....I fell for it...

Love the X3 35i but the GLK [AMG pack] and Q5 [S-line] are much better looking. Would have gotten leather and Parktronic cuz I love Parktronic and like the wood that comes with the leather pack. But congrats on the purchase, its a really great car. And you're right about Mercedes service. BMW can't even begin to compare. The Mercedes dealer near me would come to my house to pick up my SLK55, and I didn't even buy it from them.

Generally speaking, BMW's design has gone from aggressive, to soft. Don't get me wrong, the new design is leaps and bounds better then Bangle's(My opinion of course) but I wish they still had that mean look to them.

The Premium, Harmon Kardon, NAV (7"), Media, AMG were the must haves for me. I wanted everything too but they could only find 4 in the whole country with Harmon Kardon. And we wanted the Paladium Silver. But finding one with everything we wanted was hard as hell. And I didn't want to wait to have one built....impatience.

I actually only wanted the leather because it comes with the premium lighting...but I can do the bulbs later. And the leatherette (Tex) is fine. I did want the parktronic too but oh well..it has the rearview camera..even though I don't really use it when I'm backing up.

I can't bring myself to like this car even the slightest bit, but getting a new car is always a great feeling. Congrats OP.

It's strang how the surfacing on this car is so basic compared to the rest of the new Benzes being released. It's all geometric with very little sculpting.
