Your Opinion
Hey guys just wondering if I could get your opinion. I might have to get rid of my 2008 335 in the next month or so (financial reasons). I have the speed bug and was wondering what other car or SUV I get that is a 4 seater with some speed and less than and $25k? I want a little style but mainly speed. Maybe a pontiac gto or cadillac? I know some guys on here might be able to name a few cars that can be modified easily for speed. Thanks!

Personally, Cadalliac is over-priced, and since GM killed the Pontiac line a couple of years ago, not sure I'd want to own one (potential lack of parts issues).
Speed & Power / Dollar would be more in the Mustang in my books. I have no idea about reliability, but since you're considering the General anyways, not a big deal. With that platform mods are pretty much limitless. Car & Driver did a article on the M3 and the GT500. The Mustang did gain slightly better lap times, for a lot less dough. Sure, it's still a "Mustang" though.... |

Like the poster above said, I'd check out the new Mustang GT. Also, if you're looking for used, you could maybe look at the older STi, Evo or a Z? Not sure of your age / preference but these cars are pretty solid and hassle free. If you can give us a better idea of what you're looking for, the forum members would be able to help you more..

I heard about the evo but I dont think its for me. Im 37 with a 5yr and 7 yr. Class and speed seem to be outta my price range. Maybe Ill stick with a suv. Id like to keep the power but I need a 4 seater thats cheap and for the kids too. Maybe a old nissan Max or altima.

Just randomly throwing it out there, the new Hyundai Sonata has an available 2.0 T with almost 300 hp I believe, and I've heard it's a nice car. I think it would fall in that price range too.

Capsgod made some good suggestions. Look at used AMGs if you're looking for straightline speed and style for ≤25k. E55 AMGs are everywhere. Search autotrader and you'll see. Super fast and classy at the same time.
