Anyone ever think about getting a truck?

This is one crazy question to ask on here I know....I've never seen it mentioned...

Everyone is always talking about which car they would get if they sold their BMW...obviously since this is a car forum....but I'm just wondering if anyone out there longs to get a truck?

Especially if you've owned trucks. I've owned a few. And I LOVE the new Dodge 1500 QC Sport. That is absolutely the one I would get if I got rid of my car. For those that do think about it, which one is your favorite and why?

The new Chevys/GMC's are growing on me too...

If I had a place to park it other than the street, I'd get one tomorrow -- an old small beater for fishing, lugging construction materials, etc. But parking on the street is a huge pain where I live, particularly for a vehicle you don't use a lot.

I just can not get myself to like Fords. I know they're well built but IMO, they are just so plain looking.

I'd love to get the new 2500 but damn, they're expensive.

I owned a '99 and '05 Tacoma....loved them both. But I want something bigger.

This is what I'd get..

Yes, I do think about the Ford Raptor a lot,it even comes with the BFGoodrich A/T KO stock (my next set of tires for the Jeep). The people at Ford really did their homework on this truck.

It'll make a great replacement for my 97 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L inline 6, Warn rock crawler front and rear bumper,5" Rough Country lift kit, Mickey Thompson mud and snow tires(32's) on Cragar black steel wheels,5 gallon Jerry can...

Sierra Denali- nice elegant truck, can go on a night out into the city and fit right in.
Raptor- yea u can just run over the city with that bad boy.
Used dodge ram SRT-10- line up with almost anyone you want at a red light!!

Those would be my top 3 picks.

I had actually thought about trading my 335 in for a Raptor. That truck is nuts.

I will probably get a Raptor in the next year (a truck would be useful for work), White (I want blue, but 'flame blue' is a bit bright for me), club cab (the crew looks a little wrong to me), no stupid stickers

I love the Raptor but somehow can't fathom paying $46K for a truck... same goes for a well optioned Tundra.

For what you get, that's actually a bargin.

I too would consider the Raptor, but Edmunds InsideLine has one and they average 12mpg. That's enough to seriously make me think otherwise.

I really dig the new Ram's. A 1500 crew cab sport trim looks really nice. I could see myself driving one of those.

The mileage is a bit of a bummer, it would be nice if did a pumped up eco-boost, or something a little more advanced under the hood.

Anything with that much rubber, and those aerodynamics is going to have a bit of trouble in the fuel consumption department.

That being said, that is very close to what my M5 gets...

The KR and Raptor have been the only trucks I've ever been in that made me want to spend that kind of money (and a lot more) on a truck. Then again, I was a truck guy for a while so maybe I'm not normal in that respect.

Does this count?

I've been obsessed with blacked out, lifted Jeep Wranglers lately.

My Raptor only has 1900 miles on it. Current MPG average is 13. That is all in town/traffic miles. No road trips yet. My previous truck was a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4.0 V6. My average in town mileage with it was 14. The Raptor weighs 2000 lbs more and has an additional 200hp. I am satisfied with 13mpg.
