What do you want to go to school for? Where do you want to go (State/Region)? How are your grades? Do you play sports? Have you taken SATs yet? What can you afford if you don't get a scholarship?
These are all important questions to know/ask before everyone tries to recommend a school for you...

Yeah I realized im being vague but had i given information I would have criticized.
I have a 3.0 unweighted/4.5 weighted GPA 31 ACT/ 1970 SAT Im in Florida but I sorta want to get out of here. If I like a school enough then money isnt an issue but I'd rather go to a school on a scholarship and save for after law school. So far I've gotten into Indiana, FSU, Northeastern, and ASU. Differed from Wisconsin and Tulane. Rejected from Northwestern. |

I plan on doing a study abroad program and as much as it kills my parents(I get full tuition if i stay in Florida), I want to go out of state. I know San Jose State has one of the best Judo programs in the world.

So 1970 I am assuming off the 2400 scale puts you in the 88th percentile and rejected from Northwestern? I'm pretty surprised... I had a few friends get in with less going for them. Being from Boston, and also from Florida.... I'd say Northeastern. It is an Excellent school, a wonderful city, and a big change from Florida.

As for Northeastern, I know many people who went to school in that area and some who went there specifically. The only thing that turns me off about it is that even though that area is filled with colleges, there isnt a campus. |

I cant help thinking that if i had cared to go to a better school i would have had a better time of it, but maybe not... I had a great deal of business experience going into business school so i wasnt expecting much. Look at it this way, the better the school, the better the chance of you getting a good start in life due to the connections and the weight of the name a better school may have. |

Are you wanting strictly a good education, or some fun too?Vanderbilt sounds like a good one for you. Not too far from home, but prestigious.

Well my father is steering me towards going to an easier school so that I could graduate top of my class for law school and also have an amazing time.(He went to Madison for a year and transferred to ASU so he wants me to have a good time like he did.) I was thinking about applying Early decision(binding) to Vandy since i didnt get in early decision to NW. But after seeing Vanderbilt's price tag(>60k a year) it makes me think if it's really worth it.
