February Issue of Automobile Magazine

"If" there is any truth to the article, it seems that BMW is very interested in bringing back the diesel to the U.S. market. However the the return of the 335d is highly unlikely, BMW is more interested in maximum fuel economy and it would be a 325d F series model. It's all on page 59.

Pretty exciting I think. Glad they are going to push for the diesel in the states.

Nice, sad if we loose the 'performance' diesel, but a good small diesel should give the hybrid folks something to think about.

I just dont think still to this day, people here in the states that are into gasoline cars realise what the 335d brought to the table, and were too afraid of the ever haunting 80's bad diesel image. So most never even considered it for a second.

I also think that not having a coupe and lack of a MT hurt a little.

I just bought this issue and noticed that, so was looking if anyone else had posted about it. Interesting that Automobile, a "smaller" publication would so factually state something that no one else, most importantly anyone from BMWUSA, has.
