That goes for 2 grand on Apple.com Also if you just lie and say you go to a high school or college you get like 100 bucks off. So I probably wouldnt of bought it, due to it being techniqually used. But it's not a total rip off.

Atleast you have an iMac, I want one so bad.

But did you read what comes with it? He upgraded the memory, the video card, wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, about 4 months old and the extended warranty.

The seller spent a bit over $2700.00.

I'd take it if i were you. Those things are huge! And the wireless things are bluetooth which makes them even cooler! If you don't like OS X, you can install Windows XP or Vista on it since it's got the intel core. (gotta install SP2 though) That is one kick ass video card too. Also, of all warranties I've had on things, Apple has some of the best customer care i've seen. Just bring the whole thing to the Apple store if you have a real problem, and they'll fix it for you on the spot!

It's a pretty good deal. However, your local Apple Store does sell refreshed iMacs, (iMacs that have been opened, but returned within the 14 day timeframe) for 10% off. Those will probably be in better condition but run you $200 more. All in all, don't sweat it, you should be fine

Fairly certain the $2000 version on Apple.com has his same video card. Even if it does not it still has a really good one. The only others would be memory, but 1gig is a good amount shoot on some of my desktop computers I use way less than that and it does fine. Next is Wireless mouse and keyboard.

Again not knocking it, if it comes in great condition no bad scratches or marks then you did great. Now you need to pick up one of these.

I'd never buy a computer on ebay.

great way to pick up someone else's problem.

Overall, you saved about $200 on the computer, and about $200 in taxes. So overall $400 off for a 4 month old computer? At that price, I'd probably take the bright shiny new one out of the box from apple.

It has Applecare, so don't sweat it. You have the peace of mind of an extended warranty and Applecare is one of the best. As others have said, it's probably not the bargain of the century, but it is still a good deal for reasons stated above.

Enjoy your new Mac.
