I can't find it in me to even somewhat like those Mack truck grilles. Not feeling their half moon shape of the air dams. I do, however, like the wheels quite a bit.

Yeah, not quite sure about the front end either... It just seems... off...

I hope this means that they'll be releasing an RS4 sedan as well.

Audi never had attractive RS aerodynamic kits, or at least I've never found them to be good looking. There's too much grille, not enough bumper.

Also that thing sits higher than Wiz Khalifa. Maybe it's because I recently installed coils and now think every car is high but damn. Do you even need to slow down for speed bumps?

I dunno mixed feelings about this. First of all no sedan = FAIL.
Also, I like the idea that they are trying to make it look different with different wheels and bumper changes etc. but the wheel spokes are too thin and look cheap. The front bumper would look better if the lip was body-coloured and I wish Audi would also go back to using wide arches like the B7 RS4!

I think losing Peter Scheyer to Kia has clearly hurt Audi's styling. The new A8 is ugly, the A6 is just a warmed version of the previous car, and the LCI for the A4 and this ugly duckling are further proof that he was a lot of what was making Audi look good for years.

Why would you want a saloon? If its has 4 doors then its has to be an Estate.

Most people want the saloon because we know that the estate will never make it over to this side of the pond. I would MUCH prefer the estate, but they sell like shit over here so Audi USA stopped importing them. The brand is totally shot lately. No more manual S4 for Europe? No manual wagons for the US? What the fuck are they thinking!?!!?!?

I'm beginning to say who cares what Audi does when it's only a handful of europe-only vehicles. If they had any balls they'd sell it in the US where it could go head to head with the CTS-V wagon.
Something tells me that comparison is exactly what they want to avoid.

I read that the Chinese market likes those over sized Bentley/Rolls style front grilles and that Audi is designing primarily for that demographic. And without the long Euro style front plate, it's going to look even worse. For a while I thought I might start to like Audi. But I've changed my mind. Plus I don't think the interiors are so great like everybody thinks. They seem too cluttered and with funny materials (like the goofy headliner fabric, etc..) Also the overkill LED headlamp treatment is getting kind of tired now. Every time I see one on the road, they are starting to look like clown cars with way too much bling. Although I suppose it does work as a safety thing; you can't miss seeing one...... |
