I was extremely disappointed in this as well. I was pretty concerned when my DVR didn't show any future listings as well. It is supposed to be back in December. I sent a message to discovery Channel about this... Here is there reply;
"Thank you for contacting Discovery Channel. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns with us regarding “Top Gear.” Your comments will be forwarded to our program management and executives and will be taken into consideration. The "Top Gear" show was not "taken off the air" but rather ran its pattern. It is being revamped for a U.S. audience and will return later this year. Look for it in December. A reply to this message is not necessary. For more information about schedules and programming check our website, www.discovery.com. If you have any further inquiries or comments, please contact us via our webform at http://extweb.discovery.com/ViewerRelations. Thank you again for expressing your interest in our programming. Sincerely, Kari Viewer Relations Discovery Networks"

Tiff, Vicki, Wookie, Jason > Jezza, James, and Hampster @ driving. Actually, I both shows, and the good thing is that the seasons don't overlap (not that it matters of course, thanks to mininova). Each show is good in its own way, Fifth Gear is more focused though, and I like that; Top Gear is more loose, and I like that too. |

The last one I watched was their favorite sports car episode, Boxster won that one. Loved watching Tiff beat the hell out of the car.

I don't get it why Vicki is so popular.
She's ugly, she's fat, she's got a terrible accent, she giggles like a pig, and above all, she's not a racing driver that she pretends to be (can't even drive the same lines on the same track). I find her utterly annoying, as well as the Tom Ford guy, but even he tried to lose a few lbs. Vicki first worked for BBC on Top Gear, then got fired and went to Channel 5 (5th gear). Don't like Jason either -- he's a well-known asshole in BTCC. Fifth gear is way too boring for my likings. I find Top Gear to be much more interesting. JC/James/Richard can't drive? That's what the Stig is there for. |

I thought Vicki was fat too, but for the new season she looks a little thinner. |

Last sunday at 2100h BBC2 started the new TopGear season again.
They reviewed the 997S vs AMV8 vs M6. For what it is worth, Stig's laptimes(In Dutch but understandable) http://www.topgearmagazine.nl/topgear-stig.html |
