LS1 evo anyone?

This guy droped a ls1 block into his evo 8.

" The engine is an iron blocked LS1 6.0 with forged diamond pistons and forged rods and crank. Ported heads and victor jr. intake manifold with a 100 mm throttle body. Compression is at 8.5 :1 with a big cam to help with the D1-SC procharger . The intercooler is a custom front mount air-to-air cooler. The headers were custom made in alotaibi exhaust shop and are full-length headers with one bullet muffler on each side (no H or x pipe yet). "

At the same time I think its cool and a waste of money. I guess dollar for dollar they are about the same $$ to mod / performance gain.

Myself id rather buy a c5 or a c6. Or buy a 2.4l engine /w a g37r turbo.

Oh well i guess you cant go wrong with a v8.

That makes the Evo a very front heavy car on a short wheelbase, right? Wow

Definitely different. You could really screw with some ricers with something like that, lol. Small block chevys are cheap to build.

Not really, the LSx motors are really light, something around 350lbs.

I dont think that's a LS1 tho, LS1's are 5.7L, the LS2's are 6.0L's.

They coulda bored the LS1 to a 6.0 but why spend the extra cash on doing that when u could just start with a 6.0.
