I've had my e90 for 18 months now and have just about learnt everything there is to know about it and modded it to how I want it, thanks to this board

Maybe this is why I find myself spending less and less time on here, but I also can't help feeling the board has just become too big. There are now so many threads, topics, reposts, etc. that I find it impossible to keep up and the 'community spirit' seems to be vanishing...

Just my opinion - it's still a great board

Thats simply because you're in a completely different time zone. By the time this board is 100% active it will be almost your bed time. I'd imagine it would be hard to keep track of all the new posts being almost 10 hours ahead of the west coast and 5 ahead of the east. I mean it's only 9am and it's already 2pm for you.

Speaking on your same topic for myself, I feel the forum can be rather slow, with not enough new posts. I feel like I'm reading the same threads all the time, and not just because there reposts but because nothing new has been added. The "community spirit" seems fine to me.

I'm in between both of you. I feel when I keep up with everything it's slow, but when I spend time away from the boards I see all these new posts to catch up on! I've slowed down in posting ... to be honest when I see some repeat questions I just can't muster the drive to reply to them as much as I used to because it's true, a would get things solved rather easily. But fortunately for those people, others pick up the slack

I agree for the most part...

My time on e90post have evolved to mostly regional community threads. Our DC metro family has grown in strength and I've met and known some really awesome people through here (in real life and on the boards) and will continue to do so, I expect

I spend most time on the regional UK board rather than the main boards. There is much more community feel on the UK board and we have more in common, same spec cars (left hand drive) and have met each other in person.

The main boards are still great to look back at every now and again but its the regional boards that make e90post.com great for me...

I check my regional section as well and have met some of the guys which is great but I think my region is a tad too large. I mean sure I'm in the greatlakes region but the forum is then lumping Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnatti, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, and everything inbetween. That's too many major cities in one group. Sure Chicago is close but it's still 6 hours away, Milwaukee is even further. I'm not going to any of those meets nor would I know anything about their region. I can atleast somewhat relate to detroit and Cinci because I've been to each city more times then I can count.

Just my opinion on my region. Some of you other guys have a more segregated region that is more specific to your areas.

Yeah I also tend to spend more time in the local community forum. It's good to actually meet the crazies that post on here. Good times for sure.

I think the quality of the board has gone down dramatically. It seems we are now infested with ill-educated trolls who have the typing and grammar skills of third graders.

I seldom post here now preferring a couple of other sites where the IQ level seems to be reasonably high.
