i don't think was BECAUSE the kid had a BMW. The 18 y.o. has a honda accord! why does this make news here? because there is a bimmer in the story?

Were these guys going so fast they didn't see the police officer? The police would have never caught them if they took one of the next 3-4 exits and split.

you don't get arrested in PR for speeding. We just get a $500 ticket for everything over 100mph. That is if ur not drunk or anything like that.

Well the article did mention the two cars stopped so a passenger could switch cars.
Good thing they did stop. They would have been a world of trouble had they ran, as if they weren't in a world of trouble now...at least it was only an arrest for wreckless driving and not evading arrest or something. Never run from the police...its just stupid, you always get caught. |

@ 141, it would be FELONY reckless driving. Much worse than a speeding ticket in most areas other than the fine. Personally, my b-hole would rather pay 500-1000 than 5-10 days in the slammer

BMW's seem to have a reputation among law enforcers of having drivers that are prone to speeding. My last ticket was for doing 121mph in a 65mph zone and when I went to court the judge asked if I had a BMW and when I said yes he said it figures.
