Coolest DD ever!!

But don't think it would be too much fun sitting in heavy traffic.

Buts it's not really a 962, it's a hybrid 956,962 built with a carbone chassis (all factory cars had alloy tubs) by Australian Vern Shuppan. This is the prototype for a car which looked like this.

There are a number of people who made or converted 962's for street us Dauer and Koening were the most high profile.

Dauer 962C

Koenig C62

@MickeyV:
I was thinking about the Dauer but you already posted it.

Back in 1989 I was in Munich visiting the KOENIG 'factory'....Incredible(KOENIG Competition, Ferrari Testarossa based 1000BHP twinturbo)

Plus Vern Shuppan also raced 956(and 962s?) back in the 80's if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for sharing.

It also reminds me of this daily Maserati MC12(god I love this car so much). From 1:07mins:

I cannot embed it???

Cheers

There was a story/page/thread about a guy who daily drove his F40. He brought it to the grocery store, mall, etc and put tens of thousands of miles on it. Like a boss.

Maybe you won't believe me but the father of my best friend had a F40 from 2001 till 2006. And he drove it regularly, sometimes when it rained as well. Scary shit. He had some close calls and sometimes he was 180-ed at a ramp approaching a highway etc. (power oversteer)LOL

He once tried the topspeed (on the tacho. 345kmh, 214mph )...the mirrors and wipers almost flew off....

Cheers
