300 on DVD

So who picked up or is going to pick up a copy today?

Swung by BestBuy during lunch and grabbed an HD-DVD copy. I guess they had some store exclusive promotion that included some artwork and a replica Spartan helmet for people picking up the 2-disc SD edition - it seemed a little busy for 1p.

Circuit City ad said only $13. You got ripped off unless you got hd-dvd or something.

I won't be purchasing due to already having a version on my computer. It is actually quite good. I might dl the DVD version once it comes out.

I really have no need for disc. I never watch movies on my tv.

HD-DVD version from Amazon for $21 with 2 day free shipping but I got it today somehow...watched it again and wow...the HD makes a HUGE difference...especially for as CGI-ed a film as 300.

i got the blue-ray.....amazing (make sure your tv is 1080p though, not 1080i or lower)

I thought it was pretty good, I'm playing it through the HD DVD connected to my XBox 360, which is then connected to my 42" Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD TV. Flip it to the standard def side and you'll definitely see the difference

How do you like that tv. I have the same one sitting in my room in a box still . Have not had the chance to open it.

It's a phenomenal tv, absolutely love it and no regrets whatsoever. I realize I could have taken a "lesser" brand or even rear projection for less money and gotten something bigger, but this is just perfect and the picture quality cannot be beat.
