Phone case or NAKED?
I don't mean to offend anyone but I hate phone cases.
I think the cases hide the nice original design of the phone and unless you have an otter box or some extreme HULK-like case, your screen will still crack and break and all the stuff you're trying to avoid by using the ugly case. In other words, phone cases make your phone ugly. I roll with my IP5 black and naked. Tell me why you have a case on your phone. EDIT: I do have a anti-glare screen protector |

With my black iPhone 5, I had to get a case so I could see it in low light situations. Wasn't a problem with the 4S because it had the metal edge (although I still had a white case for protection). The case saved my phone a few times already. It would surely have cracked had I not had the case.

I've had a couple of the thin clear snap cases on my iPhone, but those definitely have a short lifespan. One small fall and they crack on the corners and no longer fit tightly to the phone. But they are decent protection for the phone and don't alter the size/look much.
Currently I'm going naked, but I'm ordering this one soon to try something new....and cuz it's cool.

My iphone with case just doesn't fit in my pocket properly. I've dropped my phone a dozen times and haven't damaged it yet.
The rubber case was a hard sell at the store too, they made it sound like the first time you look at your phone wrong it was going to break. |

have been for almost 4 years with all of my iphones... All of the cases break the natural aesthetics / beauty of the phone.

i run my iPhone 5 naked, but there are lots of tiny little scratches : (. It seems like the metal was not anodized correctly in black. I never have dropped my phone and its just in my pockets and some of the black is turning silver aka rubbing off : <

Funny that I read an article about iPhone 5 damage today: http://gizmodo.com/5963445/the-iphon...o-months-later
I have iPhone 4 with bumper and screen and back protector films. Recently switched the back film to leather that I got as a gift. |

I just picked up an Iphone today my contract just ended. It's my first Iphone I'm not all drooling over apple but I think the design is really nice for this one. But imo getting a case is smart because if you drop it your screwed. My last phone was destroyed from dropping it lol had to work with it for a year half broken (screen cracked, lock button stopped working, had to download an app to use the volume buttons as lock, download an app to turn the screen off, charger port stopped working so I had to get an external battery charger, etc.) bottom line the phone was falling apart even with a case but get one to be on the safe side.
In the end its just a phone, nothing natural about it.. 75% of people you meet have the same Iphone and a new one comes out every 6 months. Just get a case to make it last and not scratch it up so you can resell it later. |

What's the purpose of buying a thin phone if you end up putting a big arse case around it.

I rock a thin case on my Droid Razar Maxx HD, even thought it looks better naked. I tend to go through one new phone every 8-12 months, I can't justify not protecting an asset that I use daily and is worth 600 bones.
Besides when I end up selling it later on craigs list for a better one, the screen guard and outter box keeps the phone looking brand new for the buyer, which will get me more money, and then I can get a new phone again. I sold my old Droid on CL after having it in a case the whole time and got a very nice chunk of change for it. |

I crossed shopped the SG3 with the Razar Maxx HD. The battery sold me. Look at this screen shot! When I went to bed the other night, I left my phone on WiFi and Slacker Radio ALL NIGHT and forgot to plug it in the charger at about a 60% charge. Keep in mind this has been on all day, with going in and out of 4G, YouTube, moderate internet browsing- any typical workday for a phone. When I woke up after 8 hours of rest, the battery was still only at 23% with WiFi and Slacker Radio STILL on. It was discharging for 20 straight hours!!!! This phone's battery is crazy.

Plus, the S3 screen is just out of this world A close friend of mine has the MAXX HD and it is very similar to the GS3, both have their pros/cons.

screen protector only. I use Ghost Armor screen protectors and tell them to stop offering the lame carbon fiber sticker for the rest of the phone. Cases just get annoying after awhile, although if I had an iPhone I do like the life proof case, its thin, super strong and reliable

Insurance will not cover you dropping your phone and smashing it and there is also a $100+ deductible for each occurance. Case is $30.
