Cool Skydivers?

Figured we could share videos of our free falling experience if there are any of you out there. Be easy on me, I am no pro but working on my skills. I am the one in black and red with a huge camera on my head.

Enjoy and lets get to sharing!

Make sure you do 1080P!

Nice video, have fun jumping.

I stopped at around 200 jumps, but it was fun while it lasted. I wanted to do BASE but then got married instead. So skydiving got boring and I quit.

A few pics of my 100th jump (in motorcycle gear) and 2 of the most awesome jumps I ever did, one from a helicopter and one from a hot air balloon - you gotta try it man, a hot air balloon jump is nothing like jumping out of an airplane! You can hear yourself accelerate!

^ Nice photos, I had a chance to do a balloon jump last season but was busy with work! I am looking forward to that and a helo jump. Something about getting that stand still feel while jumping is probably awesome.

Agreed! I don't see how this sport an get boring. Its a thrill every time you jump IMO. Price isn't to bad after you purchase all your equipment wouldn't you agree?

Do you have any vids shah269?

The price...oh the freaking price....hookers and blow are cheeper!

I only have 95 jumps so far so no camera for me.

But this is a cheeky video from my check out dive from early in the spring.

I was jumping rental gear which sucks!

But this year, well i guess.....use that wing suit, buy camera and maybe make 100 jumps?

Dang! The music on the vid won't allow me to play it in Germany. Rental gear is crazy, as soon as I got my Mirage G4 my skill went through the roof for my jump count. Huge difference with that and a TonFly suit. Wingsuiting is an interest I have but I would rather master the art of free fly before moving to something else.

This is awesome, lets get more videos and pictures to promote the sport of skydiving and help the community grow!

Damn, the minimum I have pulled at is 3,000. I like to have room for any malfunctions. Do you have an audible altimeter? That is a huge game changer!

The main reason I was skydiving so much was to eventually become a BASE jumper. So I focused on tracking and canopy work a lot. I did like the sit flying and stuff, and the night jumps - loved the night jumps - but I never cared for big group jumps and holding hands and all that. Most of my jumps were solos with my goal of BASE in mind.

When I decided to give up the BASE dream for a woman (now my wife, can't exactly say I regret it, unless we argue and then I say I'm going to BASE jump hahahaha) and returned my BASE rig which I had just purchased and not even jumped once, I kind of felt like my skydiving no longer had a purpose. I mean, I didn't have anything else I wanted to attain with it. So that's why it got boring.

On the balloon jump, I exited from 3000 feet and I let myself free fall for a while before I pulled around 1500

I believe that a balloon jump is the closest you can get to the feeling of a BASE jump as a skydiver. The balloon is completely still in the air, so you don't get the curvature of your exit path as when you exit a plane typically still moving around 100mph.

It was by far one of the most awesome experiences of my life, not just in skydiving. You can feel and hear the acceleration of your body before you hit terminal velocity. You gotta do it, it's not like any other type of skydive.

Yeah...try i have two! ha ha!
I have the new N3 and a Alti 2.
I have no idea why i keep going low. I keep saying...ok on this jump i'm going to pull at 3 or hell why not even 4...and then well..you know...stuff comes up and oh look there is the ground...and by the time i'm under my wing it's 2k ft.
So that means I pulled at 2,500ft.

I had this jump with an OG who was borderline bat shit crazy and he goes "Hey I pull low so why don't you hang with me so we are safe"
Ok that hurt my head....pull low and be safe?
Well i figure he's not dead...and has 5k jumps so....yeah why not.

We did a two way well there goes 5k ft and he has my hand turns me and we start tracking and i'm like...oh this is different. at 2.5 he signals me to pull away from the track?

It was a dry spring day and let me tell you the ground was very close but a quick 5 second track and dump in a track....oddly my Tri loves opening in a track not only does it open faster but also smoother....and by the time i grabbed my toggles....i was at 1,500ft.

That guy is bat shit crazy but that day i learned...if you stay calm collected and in control and have faith in your equipment all will be well...also as soon as you dump that low stay stable and remember where you cutaway is!

Hahaha! I have had some close calls before as well. When I was initially learning sit fly with rental gear it was an experience. Lets just say the rental gear is not the best for free flying. I was getting ready to go belly to prepare for a deployment and the chest harness had came too loose. I was in a wicked spin and working my chest harness to have the gear snug again. By then I had opened at it was around just under 2k. I am glad there was no malfunction. I guess its safe to say that even though 2.5k is the final answer for a reserve pull, I believe that you can do it to at a minimum of 1.5k and just prepare for a hard landing with a PLF. We try to avoid that though, don't we? Hahaha, thats when you grab a beer for a celebration.

Well this year I have told my self that I'm going to be pulling at 3k.
Though 2k is kind of fun....the extra 5 seconds is oh so nice...I'm going to go for 3's
it's not fun to chase the devil into hell.

Lots of fun can be had from doing a high altitude hop and pop and canopy flying all the way down, too We used to do those during sunset, it never got old. Of course if you're flying a 210 it won't be as much fun as if you were flying a 150

I have yet to do one of those but would really like too. I have told myself that I would do one but I always forget because I can't resist the rush of free falling!I am flying a 170 Pulse PD and it is fun to fly, very fast for me! 150 or a bit lower will be next canopy.
