Cadillac CTS
Alright, I know this is a BMW forum and there will be bias. What do people think about the Cadillac CTS? Looks very nice, but wonder how it compares to a BMW in your opinions.

CTS-V may beat the M5, and will if the 600HP engine is true.
The regular CTS has no chance against the 335. Do you realize the CTS weighs in excess of 4,000 lbs? |

An old man's car, even by my standard.

You are right. It weigh like an Audi! I'm seeing anywhere from 3840lbs-4000lbs. About 300lbs too heavy IMO.

I acknowledge the efforts made by Caddi to change their image but I never liked or got used to their Arts & Science look. The engines and chassis are OK, but the critics recommend you forego the manual tranny bcs it is too rubbery - so this car is therefore dead to me.
The CTS-V will be quite a handler (we'll see), but I don't think it will beat the M3-the car weights already too much, with the honking V8 in it it will weigh even more.

I like the looks of both the original and the new one. After BMW, my choice would be Infiniti or Caddy.
Should be interesting to see how the new one performs.

New CTS-V should be a monster .... THe old ones the interior lacked badly ... I still think the interior on the new one has a very "plasticy" feel to it. Im really feeling the looks on the new one ... would be interested to see what some modded ones look like.

It's a huge improvement over the old one, inside and out, for sure. It also handles in a much more predictable (and apparently more fun) manner when driven to the limits. So far the things holding it back in my book are weight and brand image; too heavy and I hate Caddy's gangsta/oldman (very polar I know) image.
