Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...I'm sure there are not many women who are into old BMWs, trains and 70s punk bands...
Still, it's nice to see the old 5 getting some love.

Ha!
I actually owned the '86 524td. It was great to cruise on I90 @ 100 and still get about 32mpg. There is something about the E28, right around 110 the aerodynamics would just hunker that car down and it felt like it was riding on rails. It was my first 5'er. Unfortunately, with only 1800 sent to the states, little to no one knew how to work on it. The turbo went, multiple injectors, the glow plugs. Way too much for a college kid to manage. Always wanted the e28 M5. Maybe someday.

Ok, as far as looks goes, she blends in with her intrest imo, so what?
I think it was a cool story about an intresting girl, she stands out from the crowd, and i love that! The sounds that E28 was making, it's not something you'll find in a F10... In the end, it eas a great story about a girl with a passion for BMW. Call me crazy, but i'm cool with that.

I can fully understand her passion!
I own a M535i E28 myself and totally love it. My Dad had 3 E28 when I was a kid and I have very fond memories of that car. Its a much smoother ride as the nimble E30, totally different character. The only grape I have with her car is the M5 badge at the front. Here's mine:

Classic boxy looking Bimmer. This vid makes me want to do a full restoration on my E34. S50B30 with manual swap.

It's really refreshing to see someone following their passion, too many of us are followers of trends, or the latest fad. I remember seeing my first 3.0 CSL, I was 18 and knew I'd own a BMW someday. I now, own two. This individual has executed on her passion, a feat few people get to accomplish. Before you criticize, think about this, she rescues older cars and repairs them with parts salvaged in wrecking yards. Talk about recycling, this is such, on a grand scale, effected by one person. On top of this, she's a BMW Tech! This is someone I'd like to talk to over coffee, heck, I'd like to have a technician this enamored with the brand taking care of my cars!.

The e28 was the reason I fell in love with BMWs. It was my first one back in 94. Hard to believe next year that will be 20 years ago. Watching this video reminded me of being a teenager and getting hooked on this brand. I drove circles around my friends in their cars. Fast forward to today... I still drive circles around them in a very rare Fire Orange e90 M3.
Great video. It makes me want to pick up another e28 or e24. |

My parents have their 1988 M5 covered and only drive it when the weather is nice out. It's all original and has....are ready for this? 48,000 original miles. I LOOOOOVE that car I actually took my driver test in that car. I love that body style. They had 1985 735i that they had traded in for that car. That video is cool!
