If the emblem on this said "Lamborghini" instead of Lexus, everyone would be creaming themselves.

Like the Germans and their large grille designs, the Japanese manufacturers tend to also look alike. Both Lexus and Infiniti seem to love the chubby bunny cheeks in their headlight/grille language.

The grille is certainly ungainly, but it's more the six hundred cut lines on the side and nothing aligning that really makes it look silly. This, while not beautiful, at least has a modicum of function behind the design.

I don't know man... with those side mirrors, this thing looks production-ready!

Not that a production vehicle would look anything like this, but I actually like the design. I'm a big fan of the new IS as well. I just wish it offered a bit more edge in terms of performance.

Disagree. They should realize their buyers are 60+ year-old white dudes and keep making cars for them. They need to give up trying to come up with cars for younger buyers.
LFA is perfect example. Awesome car but who the f*ck is gonna pay $300K+ for a Lexus?? |

it's funny how Lexus have a target audience of 50-70 year olds, but then design these disgusting, over the top designs. I think it's to make older people feel young.....TERRIBLE! they definitely have the worst designers around. Their cars are universally hideous.
the only reason the LFA works is that it is a supercar, and crazy designs work in supercars and sports cars. They don't work in dime-a-dozen passenger cars and SUVs though. |
