2012 GTR Black Edition
I need to figure our WTF I am going to do... Found a 2012 black edition GTR at the right price with about 12k miles on it. I love the performance of the car, love the handling bluh bluh bluh... Love the 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. I fucking hate the interior, hate the car seats as they are hard... Hate the front and above all it's a Nissan :-).... If you had the option to get a new M5 or Used GTR, which one would you go for?

I would think a GTR makes for a great 2nd / weekend car, but as a daily driver and only one car I'd prefer the M5.
Note that if for you personally, you've been coveting the GTR and always wanted one and this is the perfect time, then just get it and don't look back. As per Castaneda, "Follow the path of heart." |

I would enjoy the comfortability of an M5, but I think there's much more thrill to be had behind the wheel of the GTR. I don't really think the interior is all that bad, I mean, I don't think an M5 interior is comparable to what a GTR's interior would be. If the seats are really that big of an issue, buy a set Recaro's?
Guess it really depends on what you would want out of it. Seems the only thing you like about the GTR is the performance aspect, but you never gave any opinion of the M5 to go against. I personally would get a GTR if it were weekend car status. If I'd be driving more often then that, M5. |

I see the same GTR every day on my way to work so clearly they can be daily driven.

I am leaning towards the GTR clearly for performance and I am keeping my 335 for DD. I guess seats can be removed, they do look great just very hard.

The maintenance cost is crazy though... Breaks are 6k every 24k miles? Transmition fluid every 18k miles is 1800.. Tires 2k. I am test driving the beast on Friday and will update this post.
