Any modern car with that feature will give you the same problem. OP I'm surprised your X6 doesn't do the same thing, our X5 did.

I have always wondered about why automakers have not made a switch to let owners of those cars to simply turn on/off that comfort access feature. Same thing goes to the alarm system. The amount of car alarm goes off on a ferry ride is just ridiculous.

yes, they do. I know of someone with a 550i f10 m sport that you have to just swing your leg beneath the trunk and it opens by motion sensor. It is all great for practical purposes etc, but i am hardly a practical guy if you ask me.
