I have a 2006 NeverSummer T5 for most riding - love it, riding it until I break it. May need new bindings soon, trying to hold out. Too damn expensive.
where do y'all like to ride? I'm looking to check out Utah this year. I've been spending the last few winters at Vail / BC / Breck

I picked up a Vapor last season and rode it on one Mammoth trip... excited to more "snow miles" on my Vapor this year.

Im a VIP mammoth pass holder and plan to be for the rest of my life!! I Love TAHOE and plan to ride there as well this year for I lived there for almost 4 years right out of high school! Quote:
I have to admit I really like ARBOR's way of thinking all there products are naturally made and they are very enviroment friendly..They are right out of Venice Beach California as well.. I find there boards to be a bit to stiff and not as poppy as id like but other than that I really like there outlook on the market!!

I appreciate the offer. For a guy bitching about price, I'm really damn picky! I have solomon boots, and really want to stick with solomon bindings. I have the 2nd from top from about 4 years ago now, but the buckles are sticking. Got stuck in the board once, took forever! I've been trying to find replacement buckles, to no avail.

If anyone was thinking about being in breck mid December let me know, you could split a condo with me and the people I'm going with. Ski in out from quicksilver 6 and hottubs!

Man, stuff like this makes me miss riding.
Haven't been on the hill in 3 or 4 years. Got burnt out on riding, sold all my shit (minus 1 special board), and haven't payed much attention to the sport/industry since.

ahhah ya i figured it was photochop..lolol..
Nice a 62 huh u must be a big guy ya Any reason u want to stick with the custom?? what kind of riding do u do? Quote:
Honestly though Id recommend getting new boots/binding combo for alot has changed in 4 years youd be litterally amazed how light the boots are.. I know solomon at that time did have some of the lightest bindings but know there are so much more options ud amaze yourself! You really should just get out on the hill a couple times man I know the feeling for sure!!! Did u compete at all?? I got so burned out 2 years ago it was ridicouls but know that im not ridign as much i think its really made we want it even more!!!

As for sticking with the custom, I've never owned a custom in fact ive never owned a board I've always rented, I'm no noob though I lived at the base of squaw valley for an entire season going out every day and have been out west every winter since. I chose it though because I mainly do a lot of bombs down long runs and the rest of my time is spent at the park. The custom is a good compromise between the two. Oh yea, and I don't normally buy new outerwear every season, Ive used the same stuff since I started boarding. But mine got lost over the summer all the better though since I get new gear. The old stuff had no style and was coming apart anyway. |

Yeah, I started riding back when I was about 10 or 11. First comp by 13; and over the next 9 years it became a job. Lost the whole reason I started in the first place, which was to have fun.

Don't choose your board based on height. Especially if you're a relative noob to the sport. Choose one strong enough to hold your weight, but short enough for you to control.

I may take you up on that. My boots are still lighter than 90% of what's out there, and I've had a lot of custom work done to them to make them fit juuuust right. The bindings on the other hand....they were good, but I think they have some room for improvement.

The 62 custom only has a 251 waist width, actually the same as my love 58! Ya your right in the sense of getting a board that fits your weight but if u have big feet u should also consider that a factor and get a board with a widder waist width so your feet dont hang over the edges.. Did u take a look at the custom wide? Ya thatll do it bud!! The industry soaks u up and doesnt want to spit u out they just run u rampad and when u say No your not having fun anymore they dont care and go to the next grom!! The industry can be so political its ridiciulous and I really feel they dont let us have fun anymore your completly right!!

My family skis, and my dad's set on making a trip to Colorado this winter. He's trying to convince me to fly out and join everyone. Guess it depends on what I can do about getting gear. Hell, I don't even have any of my gloves or goggles anymore.
