Hi guys am a newbie to BMW and am currently looking at a 2007/07 330d M Sport coupe in grey. I was just wondering what the general opinion is of these cars with high miles. The car in question has 149000 on it with 1 company owner. I believe full bmw history as well.this is the link and it looks good, has a good spec but am concerned in case turbos, dmf/clutch, dpf and such go wrong and need fixed.

So what's the opinions of the car, things to check and what people think of the price. I'd be buying on condition rather than miles really and having seen it I do like it a lot and it is as clean as it looks.

Miles are generally not an issue.

You'll need a suspension work if it has not been done yet. New brakes may be coming again soon (every 70k miles on average, but very dependent on driving habit). Check for oil leaks, they are not a showstopper but can get expensive to fix.

Other than that, the car is solid. Don't know much about the diesels, you may have more chance on the UK forum.

For around £200 -250, get an independent inspection by the AA/RAC, it will give you some peace of mind and some redress if something goes wrong they should have found.
