Accomplished movie and theater actor, writer and director dies of heroin OD. Struggled with drugs and alcohol his whole life, and finally succumed leaving behind his life partner and 3 children.

Drugs discriminate against no one.

Do you not watch many films? He's a very well known actor. Also, that meme above is not PSH, it's Louie Anderson. I guess the joke is that people think they looked alike but I don't see it.

Even though people will become sober and stay that way for a while, most still have the urge to get that "feeling" again, and usually think if they do it once they will be alright, but then it turns into again and again, and by that time the amount that used to be needed to counter the tolerance is much higher and thus leads people to overdose after just starting back up again.

That's why opiates are so dangerous, you can be clean for years and then out of the blue one day you get an uncontrollable craving. Most of the people who get off of opiates just move to something else like benzodiazepines or alcohol
