Parking ticket...
I went to school the other day and parked in what I thought was a regular parking spot. I came out 2 minutes later (literally) and saw some campus parking people standing there writing me a ticket. I told them I thought it was a regular parking spot so it's unreasonable to issue me a ticket. Their answer was basically "we dont care. you can appeal it or whatever".
So I come to you guys to get some opinionn before appealing the citation. I went back the next day and took some pictures of the spot at the exact same time the ticket was issued. As you can see the tree branches are covering up the entire sign and there wasnt adequate lighting to even see the sign. Let me know what you guys think. 1st pix: what I saw before pulling in 2nd pix: what I saw after I pulled in 3rd pix: can you even see anything in that darkness?? |

After seeing these pictures, I would say you have a really high chance of getting that parking ticket dropped. I guess what it really comes down to is the judge. Hope you get a good one. Anyways, yeah its definitly worth fighting in my opinion
PS. you should definitly take new better pictures. You don't want the judge to screw you over because of the blurryness of the pictures.

i honestly can't see anything from your pics.
but as said, just fight it. you basically have nothing to lose. if there's shrubbery covering the sign, you got a chance. if you lose, oh well, at least you tried.

I once parked in the commuter lot at school with an expired resident sticker (thought I was in the general parking, though). I came back to find two tickets for the same offense written 42 minutes apart. I appealed the second one with the argument that if this was legit then the parking warden could, quite literally, stand at the car all afternoon and write a ticket every minute. Both tickets were rescinded.

There's no downside to fighting it; only the chance of it getting dropped. Bring print-outs of the photos when you fight it.
