Apparently this is the "Grand Vitesse" model, even more rare/valuable than the standard model, Sticker price ~ $2.5M

Nice looking car. Read an article on Jalopnik about it though saying that VW can't seem to move the last 40 of them though. Not enough people with 2.5m to burn I guess . . .

the driver/owner (?) was a youngish asian guy, apparently chinese, maybe early 30s. I asked around but nobody knew for certain what his business was.

I've only seen one of these in person before, the Mansory CF Veyron in Frankfurt, Germany. I was surprised how small they are. They appear a lot bigger on tv.

I've seen four or five in the wild, including the SuperSport pictured below. I was also surprised by their size. There's something about the bulging lines on the car that give it a larger appearance in 2D.

I've also seen a few, last time I was in Moscow there were three parked out the front of my hotel, I just about pooped my pants, I was surprised that nobody else appeared to notice them.
