I have all my music on a memory stick with std usb a connector. Found out I needed a usb-c to be Able to plug in so I buy an adaptor and plug in to center console usb c. But won’t recognize music. So do I need to now buy a dedicated usb-c memory stick or is the vehicle not capable of playing usb music?

I use it every day.
I'm using a Sandisk USB-C stick and works without problems. I've used the same stick in my prior X3 G01.

I have no problems playing music from my USB A flash drive using a USB A to C adapter.
I’m also able to use a USB C drive without issue.
I’ve tried both FAT32 and NTFS formats and both work. I am also able to save Drive Recorder videos to my flash drives.

If you want to listen to Apple music you need to do so via CarPlay or stream it from the iPhone as a Bluetooth audio device.Ravenous666: Unfortunately, it appears that I left my usb stick in the traded-in car and now I can't seem to replicate it on a new Sandisk USB-C. Any hints on how to successfully transfer Apple Music files to the usb? I keep getting an intercept referring to licensing rights.

Ravenous666 wroteThanks. That was what I came to understand and the strategy I planned to use (after wasting $9 on an iPhone app that offered to make the conversions, but failed miserably).Apple Music files are DRM protected.
