This right here that I’ve attached is a great invention and to tell you the truth, you’re supposed to contact your power company, but this can be done in like five minutes, but my power company will not allow it. You simply take off the meter you plug this thing in where the meters is at and you put the meter over top of it then in the event of a power outage all you do is flip a switch that does not allow the grid to come back on and back feed and you just plug in the extension cord from your car or like I do solar generators but they won’t let me do it. It’s so simple. it’s about $1200 on Amazon.

As a reminder, you need to spec the Charging Professional option to get any of the V2X features.
You only need charging professional for V2L I believe

Anything that uses reverse AC charging via the onboard charger will need the optional pack as the standard 11kW one is only single directional.

Well I don't know the details since I don't plan to use any of those features but V2G and V2H is being advertised as capable from the base model

There’s two ways it can do it:
AC - Limited to 3.7kW and effectively plugs straight into your house.
DC - Via the BMW Wallbox Professional and is converted from there to AC. Something like 22kW. Likely needs a three phase setup at home.
It’s not clear which features and hardware will be available in which markets yet and what, if any, is available without the optional professional charging option.

The BMW Wallbox Professional 7.4kw single phase seems to be enough for bi directional charging

I'm pretty sure you don't need the professional package of 22kw for that

BMW hasn’t been as clear as it should it does mention bi-directional and home charging in the early material. But when you check the clarifying points it says only via equipment available to order in 01/26.

I also asked the specialist that was doing the tour in the UK do you need the pro 22kw charger in the car for bi-directional and he said yes, if I need that change my order now. I could by for me it’s too much of a hassle.
