After swapping out my 20" summer tires with the same sized Pirelli winter scorpion (F:255/45R20, R:284/40R20), I noticed quite a bit of vibration on my m50 at highway speeds above 130km/h.

Should I redo the wheel balancing? Not sure if the mechanic (who did the tires swap for me) did the proper balancing during the winter tires installation.

Feedback appreciated!

Similar experience, swapped my factory fitted summer 21" GY for 21" Pirelli PZERO Winter, feel some vibrations at aprox 150km/h :confused2

If the vibrations occur only at specific speed ranges, the cause is almost always poorly balanced wheels. If the vibrations increase as speed goes up, there may be several causes - mainly bent rims, warped brake discs, or even more serious suspension issues.

Agressively treaded winter rubber will feel different at high speed. It squirms a bit and is much softer than summer tires. If it just feels like a vibration that is the reason.. If the car is actually shaking then the wheel balance is incorrect.
