I own the iX3 several weeks. The car itself drives very good. The software-things are a bit unpredictable/fuzzy.

I have a phone without uwb. So the digital key is not working. Sometimes nfc works. Most of the times not. I use the app to open/close the car. Everytime i have yo select my profile (takes a very long time).

Sound is very poor (i have the harman kardon option).

I find it very difficult to leave round-a-bout. The car seems to crack (it is a very strange experience) or i have to drive very, very slowly.

The drive assist mode does recognize speedbumps. Very annoying!
Do you let the phone in the wireless charging location? In the manual it seems mandatory to operate the car with a phone with digital key not plus, so w/o uwb!?
Regarding the wireless charging location. Yes you must put your phone on this lication in order to use the car (however (once)my wife was able to drive the car without this…)

But this is, for me, also strange. So you approach the car (with uwb phone in your pocket). You can open the car. But to drive the car you need to get your phone and place it on the wireless charging location. This is a bit clumsy.

So i am happy to use the ‘real key’. It works, for me much better.

I had the situation that i left the car and did not take the phone with me…well what happens then…
If you have a phone with UWB you don't need to place it in the charger.

If not, it uses NFC to open the doors and then you need to place it in the charger to operate the car.
I may have missed a thread discussion but wondering if anyone has tested the inside (emergency) mechanical door releases? Seems like everyone should know where they are and how to use.
Isn't it just the normal door handle, but with a much bigger pull?

Yes
Something I should mention that people were concerned about is the vents.

The climate screen actually has some default positions for 'direct' and 'indirect'

e.g. air blowing directly at the person in the seat, or around the person.

I was finding the direct mode was too cold at 19°C but getting too warm at 19.5°C the other day (work that out) so I switched to indirect and now it's been great at 19°C.

I don't see myself needing to fiddle with those settings again to be honest.

Even with my forester, we have the manual vents to not blow on us and we never change them. I will for sure set vents to indirect, set and forget.
Having had two vehicles with electronic vents like this, I've got a pretty firm take on them. I HATE electronic vents controlled with the screen. With the fire of a thousand burning suns.

Yes, most of the time you find a setting that works and leave them. But that's most of the time not all of the time. And the time you do want to change them, it's annoying and inconvenient. Inevitably while the screen is locked out for backing up, or you need the map for navigating while your passenger is trying to get the vent onto or off of them.

I also can not stand vents that reset to on when the vehicle starts after they were turned off. My passenger doesn't like their vent on in the first place, because even when the heat is on the slight breeze feels cool after a while. But some engineer decides the system should reset to a default state at start, and my passenger gets annoyed. Hopefully BMW doesn't make that particular mistake and I just have to suffer the idiotic choice of not having a tab to move the vents manually.
