Did anyone option with tire repair vs spare? I have the spare but think I want to order the repair kit and use in vehicle instead so I can store the trunk cover underneath when not in use.

Hmmm... I'm not sure I understand your concern. With the standard spare tyre, "the cargo cover for the 2025-2026 BMW X3, like previous generations, is designed to fit and store neatly in the dedicated compartment under the trunk's floor panel."

Yes the spare tire does indeed fit under the floor in the trunk. However if you have the spare tire, you can not put the tonneau cover/privacy shade under the floor for storage. IMO after having a blowout I much rather have the spare tire.

Really? This is a nonissue. I have the spare AND the cargo cover under the floor for storage. The cargo cover fits very neatly under the floor even with the spare.

Can you snap a pic of it? Maybe I’m installing wrong.

Yes, I'd like to see a pic too. I can barely hide the illegal immigrants in there, when crossing the southern border. There isn't much room in there. :-)

Yea, but he isn't the only person to say they fit both the tire and tonneau cover in there, at the same time. Some people say it can't be done. Some people say it can be done. A proof of photo would put all doubt to bed.

My take is there’s no photo proof because it doesn’t really fit. lol

Took me all of 10 seconds to remove and stow the cargo cover beneath the floor... and it closes down perfectly flat.

Both photos are clearly visible. Besides, there are plenty of tips on the Internet about how to easily fit both a spare wheel and the partition in a G45. Both internet trolls — markronnie and TXSurfer — do not even have owning an X3 in their profile descriptions, yet they are making a mess in this thread. Does anyone moderate this forum?

Your right it’s my wife’s. I drive a pickup and have an M2. Also I started this thread and how does asking for a photo so I can see if I’m doing something wrong make me a troll. SMH lol

That doesn't make him a troll. It's a legitimate question that sometimes comes up.

Besides, if you look at Kimona's photo, there appears to be a slight trick in getting it done successfully. The trick is to have the lip of the tonneau cover rest on a portion the tire. Perhaps not everybody is doing that.

So sorry guys for some confusion. I first attempted to stow the cargo cover by inserting the left side with the lip facing out. It wouldn't fit with the spare. So, I simply turned it around and put the edge of the lip on top of the spare. It fit, and the floor closed flat without applying any pressure. That's all.
