I would have chosen space silver if there was an interior colour combo that appealed to me more. Agave green from the new i3 could have been good.

Love my polarized grey. Interesting grey with blue and purple tones depending on the light. Blue tone in daylight and purple with bright sun on it.

GaSeaWA wroteI'm sure they let you take it outside if a sale depended on it.Do dealers let you take the paint samples outdoors? Viewing them under artificial light doesn't tell you much. I once looked at identical vehicles, one in the showroom, the other parked outside, and I would have sworn they were different colors.

Is the red also an upcharge? We don't have pricing guide yet here in the US. Thanks in advance.

Hard to know how that would be in the US... Some models have the choice between several no extra cost colors, and others you have to pay for everything but alpine white (i.e. the current X3).
On some cars it depends on the model (i.e. X5) where the lower level trim/model you need to pay for any non alpine white color while the highest model/trim offers you several no cost options.

BMPHIL wroteI currently have a Volvo XC60 in black. I wash it by hand every two weeks from spring to autumn. With Black metallic you see it when the car gets dirty. I imagine that it would be the same with Tanzanite Blue. A grey or Silver colour is more forgiving with dirt on the car.If you like cleaning cars, was a nightmare to keep clean on my X5.
Do you agree with my assumptions?

What you pick up from the dealer:

What you arrive with at home (and forever after):

I love Tanzanite Blue, but I will never buy one for this reason. :-)
