Given I only drive approximately 30 miles a day and well within the electric range the engine never fires up. Indeed it hasn’t run for over two months. Can this be a bad thing?
1. Fuel going stale..
2. Oil sinking to the sump..
I’ve looked through the manual and I can’t find any information or advice though there was some anecdotal information on the internet about the engine management system periodically running the engine to avoid these issues. I’ve never noticed this happening and my fuel range has not dropped. What’s the consensus on this? Should I just force it to run on the engine every now and again?
Appreciate any advice that the more experienced may have.

And on a similar note, the odometer reading shows the miles the car has driven but not the miles the engine has done. Thinking about the future resale of the vehicle how can I state how many miles the engine has done? Are there any metrics that can be analysed through the odb port?
