I just inquired about the price for installing a self-healing, transparent, matte paint protection film.
how much was it?
I haven't received a response yet. My guess is €5,000–€7,000.

Anybody knows how the two purple paints look in real life?
What interior would you choose with either?
I will just choose the Black M. A Black Panther vide

You could also choose a standard color and have the car wrapped in a matte finish.
I like that
Wrap shops will advise choosing black as the paint color if applying a wrap on top. Other colors “pop” too much for areas not covered when doors or liftgate are opened.

I get it. I can’t choose that. We reach 120F in Summer.

It was $10k in the US for a high quality matte PPF when I did my Audi Q7 almost 9 years ago. Some of the film prices have come down but quality ppf is never cheap.

Indeed. Some of the best ppf such as Xpel is costly and effective at paint chip prevention. The vinyl wraps used for color are a different material and applied differently and are usually less expensive.

Better to go with BMW’s Individual color palette — wraps are vinyl, and their pricing isn’t market‑adjusted the way BMW paint is. In Canada the labor rates push wrap costs even higher, so you end up spending close to factory‑paint money for something that won’t age as well.
Wraps also detract or add null from a car on the secondary market.
Better going Individual with PPF.

Indeed the reason being a lot of installers cut the paint underneath which you can’t see when wrapped. Wraps can also be used to conceal other types of damage as well so you discount for that gamble.

Clear or matte ppf on the other hand you can see through to the paint.
I am trying to figure out what the right interior option is for the Malachite Dark Green Metallic exterior color. Is going with the light green interior too much green on green? I would love a beige/tan option for the interior to match with the green on the outside.

I would have loved and chosen a tan/natural saddle leather color for either Vegas Red or the Individual Purple Mist. For Malachite Green, the only interior I would choose is also the green although some have paired the exterior (supposedly) green with Castenea. Then again, I never choose black interiors which I generally dislike, but at least it would not seem otherwise out of place…just dull.
