US/Canada towing capacity and tongue weight

Does anyone know what the max tongue weight is on the ix3 50 in the US or Canada? European specs are different because they have the electric style tow hook and a much lower tongue weight
In the US in Canada, it’s typically the 2 inch receiver type which generally allows a greater tongue weight. This would be in an owners manual but would need to be the US or Canadian version

I believe it's 400 or 440 lbs with a 4,000-4,400 lbs towing capacity. I'll try to find the spec sheet I saw to post here.

So 4,400 lbs.

The max tongue weight will surely be 10% of the max trailer weight. The real question is what the max bike rack weight is. Some tow hitches, usually the "stealth" variety, have absurdly low max bike rack weight.

Not necessarily, for example the max tongue weight on an X5 is 550 pounds but the tow weight is 7200 pounds. on the X5 you or not supposed to use a weight distribution hitch. The 10% is just a general guideline for towing a trailer. It doesn’t mean that BMW is going to allow 10% of the max tow weight is. in Europe, it’s even less some will only allow 150 to 200 pounds of tongue weight.
