Isn't that the whole points of having such forums where people can freely share their thoughts and discuss in a professional matters lol

Personally I have no problem with stifling or censoring complaints about complainers as a rule, but perhaps complaints about complainers who complain every single day might be exempted.

too many softies in this world.
I personally like few things about new generation and dislike few things. my comments are not towards those buying new X3, its towards BMW. lets not forget these are public forums where we share our opinions |

My wife and I full on expected to replace her 2018 X3 with the new X3. I have some reservations about the new X3. If there is butthurt from that then just fill out the online butthurt form and submit it. I plan to continue to engage on this sub-forum as befits my needs and desires.
I enjoy discussing vehicles even when I am not completely enamored with one. |

I’m a BMW loyal fan since i was a kid, I don’t want to ever leave the brand, I do think alot of criticism for the exterior is unwarranted and exaggerated, while not perfect, i feel the exterior is still pretty nice overall but the interior in my opinion is a fail. The lack of interior trim on the front dashboard area and no trim material on the door panels and no ambient lighttin the rear passenger doors just screams cheap. There’s no excuse or defending the interior.

And as far as posting thoughts, whether good or bad, are an important part why I enjoy forums like these. I like to hear what others think, even if I don't agree with it. |

~20 year BMW driver, have literally never owned another brand. As loyal as they get. Exterior design is fine. I don’t love it but can deal with it. Interior design, materials & features are a big disappointment. FWIW I have the same concerns with the new 5 series. Both designed around the same time and share the same fatal flaws. Just got a new 2025 X5 a few months ago and love it. Want to replace my 2020 M550 in near future and nothing in the BMW lineup that excites me, other than buying a 2nd X5 😂. Would have considered a new 5 or X3 M50 but not happy with either. Maybe time to try out another brand. Definitely not something I want to do but feel forced to.

These forums can absolutely get annoying with negativity on certain cars, and vitriol towards each other is very unfortunate.
With that being said, these forums are meant to give us a voice when it comes to these cars. We should be allowed to criticize shortcomings - especially when there are areas that are objectively worse with the G45 (and of course some better as well). After-all, thats how the brand can continue to evolve and improve. There are many great alternatives available that we can consider, but we all love the brand and are rooting for BMW to do well. |

Of course anyone is able to post whatever they want within the forum rules, but the pain point here is that, now that the G45 is out, this forum should transition to a place where owners can come together to discuss our cars and instead it continues to focus on general gripes with BMW's evolution that could find a home elsewhere.

Very simple. People don’t like change, especially when you get old.

There are legitimate issues for someone who adores the BMW brand and has had numerous BMW vehicles. I had zero hesitation for my wife to get her 2018 X3. I loved the vehicle from the earliest days of it's release. I am a bit less enthused with the G45 and it's not an age related issue nor a resistance to change. I have a Tesla S Plaid after four BMW M vehicles in a row. |

I think opinions are good to have but not to the extent where someone says they are ordering this car in this color with these options and someone posting saying - poor choice or it looks crap. I am not a BMW petrol head and do not have such deep roots on BMW but looking at reviews and seeing some pics I was highly concerned I was looking at a turd. If in doubt, go and look at a car yourself, look at color availability, look inside get a feel because in my opinion - the picture of the new X3 does not do it justice. Getting in, checking inside/outside feeling how it drives is ultimately how you should gauge a car. I was impressed.
Yes, the inside does not feel like a X5 or X7, but those are aimed at a slightly different set of folks. If the X3 change has rattled purist's cages, wait until you see some of the changes proposed for the X5, it will send you off to an early grave lol. |

i would argue every bmw gen was a true improvement all the way thru the pre lci G generation... lci G gen things got really weird w massive screens, ev's etc... altho the G80 M3 was one I am very mixed on due to design, weight and loss of a lot of feeling w the car... now these brand new cars are all over the place to me... far worse interiors, loss of some options and very polarizing designs that are really headed in a new direction - its not for everyone... i dont want an m5 that weighs more than a Rolls Royce Ghost... that btw is not a joke at all... this is current reality

It's one thing to generally comment how you don't like the car/style/etc. but some folks directly or indirectly feel the need to comment on other people's actual personal subjective life choices. And, look, it's a free country - you can say whatever you want. But that doesn't make it good manners, nor should you expect to win many friends that way. |
