anyway, Montreal is a great City, very European, food is excellent, nightlife is off the wall... girls are amazing... being in the same age bracket of myself, you will enjoy going to Globe on St laurent street, as well as Med(across the street from eachother), they both smaller lounges/clubs, very cozy and known as "the place to be" Opera is great, but its more like a high end MEGA club... its a HUGE place... really fun though, if you're into being in HUGE clubs... Old Montreal is a very trendy place to be aswell... places there are even smaller and cozier... there are a few restaurants on St Paul, trendy places... check out Mechant Boeuf... great place... as well, you can check out Hotel Place D'armes... they have a very good restaurant, and very nice lounge... great on saturday nights... there is also the wunderbar at the W hotel... saturday night aswell... hopefully this helps... and P.S: dont go past st laurent st on st catherines... its the fruitier part of town... might not get the "fish" you're looking for... |

if you're a bit of a spender
I recommend 40 Westt or Queue de cheval great restos the only lounge I go to is Whiskey's on Bernard and St-Laurent in Outremont great staff, very friendly! Bernard street has a lot of cool places to go to.. most people often dismiss it. there is also a good restaurant with a great flair bartender called L'Assomoir. These are obviously a bit higher in budget then what was recommended, but a guaranteed great time.
