markronnie wroteNo I got 03/2025.38 in the USTypically the new software versions come the NA about 3 months after the Europe roll out. That would mean we will see the 3/2024. _ _ around June.
worldswinner wroteWhere are you located & what specifically are you driving? No I got 03/2025.38 in the US
Did you get it by way of a dealer or OTA?
Aware of the update in November, 11/2024, coming to USA in December but before then getting an OTA update ~3 months after they released in Europe was typical. Although dealers have been known to install them earlier if you brought vehicle in for service for something else.
Now to figure out why my USB-C plugs don't charge my devices consistently and that darn blinking lock door light on the driver's side.
DeanWChi wroteI think it will download by itself, but only through the slower built-in cell connection. Going the phone route is generally quicker.I'm still on 11/2024.58 in the U.S. What I don't understand is why the car is not able to download the software update directly using WiFi connected to my house router? I'm not following why BMW configured it so that I need to download the update to my phone app and then transfer it to my car. On my other vehicle, I get a notification in the app to initiate the software update, but the car itself downloads it directly.
Starting the car is just a black screen and I feel like it takes longer to load up. Maybe it's just "settling in" and will improve.
Ravenous666 wroteany idea what the eSim does besides provide wifi hotspot in your car? do we need it for any other function like getting traffic info in navi, downloading updates, etc?Mine says it's compatible now and I could activate.
Ravenous666 wroteSo if we don't need to make phone calls without our phones and we don't need wifi hotspot, we don't need it at all, correct? The eSim would also allow to make voice calls from the car without having a phone with you
Ravenous666 wroteGuess it took time to bake in. Was able to activate mine this morning.Mine says it's compatible now and I could activate.

Also, in case anyone else experiences the “Hey BMW” assistant going away, it may be the language failed to download. For me, it was fixed by retrying the language download in the app.
wrnc wroteSadly I’ve had the personal assistant “hey BMW” turn itself off nearly every time an OTA update is installed. I’ve got accustomed to reinstalling it just after ID9 update takes effect.Has anyone had a problem with the extra drive modes disappearing after the update? Hard reset did not fix. All “connected” products show active.
