There seems to be another stop in deliveries due to new software issues. My car that is on the way with the boat has an active recall.

svenb wroteI received information that the supplier of a control unit had to be changed. An update now needs to be installed for the new control units. Vehicles with the new control unit are not currently being delivered. Is there a new stop in deliveries due to new software problems? It is said that there is in some countries, and my car that is on its way with the boat has an active recall.
Mine had a software update in factory after being on a quality hold, when it arrived at Immingham, it was again held waiting for the software for new control unit which was available until March 31st

Is this just a software update as mine was built last week 10th April and had a recall after leaving factory to port.

From all of us on the north American side , thank you for your sacrifices in dealing with all these new model issues for us so that we hopefully won't have to.

ggalanis wroteI trust BMW to roll out a viable, ready for market EV as much or more than any other manufacturer, but like you I'm happy to let them work out the bugs before I get one. I may roll over to an iX3 in mid-2027, when the growing pains should be in the rearview mirror. From all of us on the north American side , thank you for your sacrifices in dealing with all these new model issues for us so that we hopefully won't have to.

EV Fan wroteI paid my dues when I got my 335, X5 and iX. Only my X4 was an already stable vehicle and just a new model. The only issue the X4 ever had, other than weird nav choices and standard iDrive hiccups (not too bad though), was uneven brake wear between the inside and outside pads, which took 3 years to be very apparent when one side was almost worn out completely while the other had plenty of meat left on it.ggalanis wroteI trust BMW to roll out a viable, ready for market EV as much or more than any other manufacturer, but like you I'm happy to let them work out the bugs before I get one.
