We currently have a delivery freeze here in Germany. There are two reasons for this:
1. New software is required, as the control unit from a new manufacturer is incompatible with the previous version.
2. There are currently issues with the charging flap; proper opening and closing cannot be guaranteed.
  1. Now another problem has cropped up—with the airbag. Unfortunately.

Software remained the same version I had OTA previous week 10(26.03.43)
My car was born on 28th of April and yesterday it was still in Zeebrugge waiting for shipping to Finland. My dealer said they will proceed with the software updates in the current location and after that he can give me some vip queue for fast delivery when the car has arrived in Finland.
Mine is coming on Friday after being stuck with dealer in UK for last month

I've been told there's another recall now and I'm a month in waiting already, anyone received theirs?
Yes I am like you should of had the car first week of May and last Friday they told me it has a tech hold so won’t get it for a week or two.
Car delivered early April. No recall showing on BMW site, but recall relating to airbags now showing on dealers system where it states priority being given to undelivered/unsold vehicles. That suggests risk is very small, and looking on the positive, gives BMW more time to address a few more problems which perhaps can be sorted at the same time.

Have you got your car yet? If so, when did it arrive?
Hier in Nederland hetzelfde.

That's a bit worrying to hear 😳

Same here in the Netherlands. I was supposed to receive my car at the end of April. The day before delivery, I was called and told that the car was not allowed to be delivered. I contacted BMW again today, but they still can’t say how much longer it’s going to take.
Oh no. Looks like I could have a bit of a wait then.

Ordered new iX3 Nov 2025, and the car has made its way up to Killingholme and has been at status 193 since 16th May.
I have enhancement 0061660900 linked to my VIN.

Is there anyone who's actually got their car recently after the 0061660900 fix at the port?

Mine was held with Technical enhancement code 0012710600.
Main delay was software for a new control unit was being developed.
After receiving car a further Technical enhancement code 0061570900 was required, this is what yours is waiting for.
The software is available as my was updated by dealer last week, so your delay is just waiting for the update to be uploaded to car
Thank you for submitting your VIN number.
Your BMW vehicle is affected by a technical enhancement campaign.
Please BOOK an appointment now to have your vehicle inspected or CONTACT any of our Authorised BMW Service Centres for more information. Enhancement codes 0072990200, 0061660900.

The first seems to be related to airbags and latter probably to wiring.

0061660900 is software for control unit, BMW changed manufacturer due to supply issues, this is why not all cars need it
Just been told that my July 2026 M Sport Pro delivery has been pushed right back to potentially February 2027. It’s apparently happening all over the various markets. Production issues is all the Dealer knows at the moment. Kind of confirms what members are hearing and reporting so this wasn’t a surprise.

That puts the order-to-delivery as about 15 months. Had the same with the i4 M50 due to supply chain issues. My first E53 X5 was also 14 months due to Spartanburg then ‘batching’ RHD diesel cars.

Frustrating yes, but we still have the M50, and also the iX1 as well.

I really do not get it. New orders are getting a March/April delivery date and your date is similar to that now. I guess they will get moved out massively too.
Maybe BMW should reduce their advertising a bit 🤔
I hope this is a glitch. If my delivery is pushed from July 2026 to Feb 2027 then its bye bye BMW. I would either switch to a Volvo EX60 (currently quoting September) or wait for the new Polestar 2 due early in 2027.
Very interesting and somewhat confusing that some UK and EU customers are being told their deliveries are pushed into 2027 when BMWUSA has announced start of US deliveries for 25-Sep-2026. That date seems quite unrealistic if indeed there are enough production and software issues to delay EU deliveries into 2027. What am I missing?
