mellowthecat wroteSupposed to be able to make changes up until car reaches step 150.When production numbers are assigned, can you still make changes?
gunpwdr wroteSame as mine, thanks.Just got an email today confirming my order, which included a production number. I was able to add it to MyGarage, per the BMW email and the status is simply "Order Received".
hokieman1 wrotefirst, I am beginning to think my dealer is just crap at communication. This is not the first time I have seen people get good or unsolicited communication. I am lucky if my dealer answers all my questionsMy dealer told me yesterday that mine is set for production starting July 20. I got production email from BMW this am and also added to MyGarage.
second, July 20th? that seems early to me. Is there a chance delivery is earlier than expected?
- Like several others, I received an email from BMW this morning with a production number.
- I kept receiving a system error when I tried to register for the BMW website until I opened a new browser tab in incognito mode. Then I was able to register.
- Similarly, I could not add my build to BMW's My Garage on a regular browser due to system errors, but again was able to do so in incognito mode.
- I am counting on being able to change my build but will confirm with my sales representative. I haven't test driven an iX3, which is pretty important to me before I decide whether to purchase one.
- As previously suggested, I don't think USA/NA production is imminent.
- That is all. Except to add that I appreciate the knowledge being shared on this forum.

Sportstick wroteThere isn’t an online link that shows the actual BMW status codes. The BMWUSA email only gives a generic “order accepted” message, but it doesn’t display the backend codes like 111, 112, 150, etc. To see the real status, you need the build sheet from your dealer — that’s where the actual code is listed. My production number just arrived in an email directly from BMWUSA. No two or three digit code, just showing order acceptance so far. Does anyone know/have the link to find the actual status code?
If your dealer has already sent you that sheet, that’s usually the last chance to review the build before it locks.
Sportstick wrotemy status is also 111BMW Genius just confirmed 111 status and also reported Week 36 (Last day of August and first week of September) for planned production. Glad to see I advanced from 47 on the VIR when the order was first accepted! I assume most of you are likely in a similar situation.
