Any US buyers have production numbers yet? Despite being among the first to complete the order and deposit process, my dealer reports no production number yet.
I paid the deposit on 5/11 and got an e-mail from my dealer today with my build order and production number.
When production numbers are assigned, can you still make changes?
Received my production number Wednesday May 20.

Supposed to be able to make changes up until car reaches step 150.
My production number just arrived in an email directly from BMWUSA. No two or three digit code, just showing order acceptance so far. Does anyone know/have the link to find the actual status code?
Just got an email today confirming my order, which included a production number. I was able to add it to MyGarage, per the BMW email and the status is simply "Order Received".

Same as mine, thanks.
I just got an email today with my production number as well. I can't login because I don't remember my password and when I try and reset it, it gives me an error
Same for me. Order received status. But the line showing the Order Received seems to indicate there are 16 steps. So a long way to go if this true. But still...it begins.
Apparently the email from BMWUSA went to all of us who pre-ordered early. Since the ordering guides have not been published, these are basically just placeholders which hold our allocated slot and my understanding is once ordering guides are finalized, the dealers will contact us to finalize/lock the configuration (and ideally, pricing). I am thinking that the ordering guides will be dropping within the next week or so, at which time we can see the official configuration list and proceed from there.
My dealer told me yesterday that mine is set for production starting July 20. I got production email from BMW this am and also added to MyGarage.

first, I am beginning to think my dealer is just crap at communication. This is not the first time I have seen people get good or unsolicited communication. I am lucky if my dealer answers all my questions
second, July 20th? that seems early to me. Is there a chance delivery is earlier than expected?
When I ordered my iX3 at the dealer we went through all of the options and prices. I dded everything I wanted and was given a PDF showing the entire order and the breakdown of all the prices and the total price. For whatever reason, the dealer wasn't able to add the heated rear seats even though they had the code for that option. They called me later that day and said they were able to add it. It does show up on my options list in My Garage after adding the car.
  1. Like several others, I received an email from BMW this morning with a production number.
  2. I kept receiving a system error when I tried to register for the BMW website until I opened a new browser tab in incognito mode. Then I was able to register.
  3. Similarly, I could not add my build to BMW's My Garage on a regular browser due to system errors, but again was able to do so in incognito mode.
  4. I am counting on being able to change my build but will confirm with my sales representative. I haven't test driven an iX3, which is pretty important to me before I decide whether to purchase one.
  5. As previously suggested, I don't think USA/NA production is imminent.
  6. That is all. Except to add that I appreciate the knowledge being shared on this forum.

I wish you were able to change your own order through My BMW ID.
At this point, it seems we may get updates directly from BMW, so no need/value in trying to reach salespeople regarding status. As to price, a sales contract will be needed at some point of course. I don't expect anything less than MSRP, at least in my market with one dealership in town, but my salesperson also orally agreed to no ADM (Additional Dealer Markup) or added dealer content. Looking forward to seeing that in writing. The only real negotiation may be the value of my trade-in if I buy the car. If I lease, I'll probably just sell the car to Carvana to avoid an effectively huge lease downpayment.

I agree. That would make life easier.
Status: 111 - Order Accepted at AG 👍

There isn’t an online link that shows the actual BMW status codes. The BMWUSA email only gives a generic “order accepted” message, but it doesn’t display the backend codes like 111, 112, 150, etc. To see the real status, you need the build sheet from your dealer — that’s where the actual code is listed.
If your dealer has already sent you that sheet, that’s usually the last chance to review the build before it locks.
BMW Genius just confirmed 111 status and also reported Week 36 (Last day of August and first week of September) for planned production. Glad to see I advanced from 47 on the VIR when the order was first accepted! I assume most of you are likely in a similar situation.
